Grammar and Spelling: Rules and Usage of Verbs

Writing: Nonfictional pieces including cause and effect, sequencing, compare and contrast and informational. Students are also working on writing a biographical essay on a biographical figure.

Reading: Coincides with the writing including nonfictional reading of A-Z materials as well as other nonfictional texts such as Time for Kids

Social Studies: Students are learning about the early explorers of America. They are learning how to write a resume and incorporating these skills into creating a resume for a particular explorer.
