We are continuing with our successful Academic After School Program again this year. This program is directed toward those students who would benefit from extra help in the areas of language arts and mathematics. Specifically the program prepares our students for the NJASK test that takes place in May 2010 by providing practice and strategies that can be used in this and future test situations. Most of the practice activities planned are also of benefit in the classroom on a daily basis.
Academic After School is provided in three small groups of approximately 10 students. There is one group for each grade level in third, fourth, and fifth grades. The groups are deliberately small in order to maximize individualized instruction. The program is run by our teachers, begins in November, and runs into late April on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays (3:30-4:30 p.m.). Transportation is provided.

Programa Académico Después de la Escuela
Continuamos con nuestro exitoso Programa Académico Después de la Escuela una vez más este año. Este programa está dirigido a aquellos estudiantes que pueden beneficiarse con ayuda extra en las áreas de literatura y matemáticas. Específicamente el programa prepara a los estudiantes para el examen NJASK que se toma en mayo de 2010 proveyendo práctica y estrategias que pueden ser usadas en este y en futuros exámenes. La mayoría de las actividades prácticas planeadas son también beneficiosas en la clase en forma diaria.
El Programa Académico Después de la Escuela se provee en tres pequeños grupos de aproximadamente 10 alumnos. Hay un grupo para cada nivel de grado en tercero, cuarto y quinto grados. Los grupos son de pequeño tamaño en forma deliberada, en orden de maximizar la instrucción individual. El programa es llevado a cabo por nuestros maestros, comienza en noviembre y se extiende hasta fines de abril la mayor parte de los martes y miércoles (3:30-4:30 p.m.). Se provee transporte.
